The ROC is a community center in West Garland that is reaching the lost of our world with
the love of Jesus Christ to the glory of God.

Since 1991 Metro Family Ministries, a nonprofit 501 (c) (3), took over an abandoned fitness center in the heart of a community of apartment complexes. In the years that have followed, the ROC has been transformed through the efforts of several churches from different denominations who serve together in order to impact our city with the good news of Jesus. We want to continue to develop a network of ministry-based programs to evangelize and empower those in our multi-ethnic community.

Our hope is to integrate people of diverse social, economic, cultural, and racial backgrounds. The ROC ministries are designed to train, resource, and connect people to God and others. Click find out more about our ministries, calendar, and location.

Our Staff

Adam Wood

ROC Manager

Adam began serving at the ROC in 2015. He is the Lead Pastor at The Neighborhood Church and loves connecting with our neighbors and volunteers as we work together for God's kingdom in our neighborhood. His hope is that each person who comes to the ROC would feel welcomed, valued, and invited into the life-giving love of God.

Jocelyn Hernandez

ROC Ministry Coordinator

Jocelyn has been volunteering at

the ROC since 2013. She Started          coordinating the Community              Service program in 2017 and is

now the ROC Ministry Coordinator.

Her hope for the ROC is to share        God’s love with everyone she encounters.

Ricardo Reyes

Ministry Assistant

Emily Hernandez

Children Ministry Coordinator

Ricardo attended the Woodgate      Apartment Ministry as a child which then led him to volunteer at the ROC in 2012. He joined the staff in 2018 as a Ministry Assistant. His hope for the future of the ROC is to bring the love of God to all families, as Jesus did for him.

Emily has been serving at the

ROC since 2006 as a volunteer in different ministries. Emily loves this Community and is very excited to be back as part of the                 ROC's family.

1 John 3.16

This is how we know what love is:

Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.

And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
